Confirmed
In Short: Michael Douglas has revealed in his upcoming memoir, 'One Helluva Ride,' that he had a secret affair with co-star Kathleen Turner during the filming of 'Romancing the Stone' in 1984.
Douglas, who was separated from his then-wife Diandra at the time, detailed the affair in an excerpt published in PEOPLE magazine.
In the memoir, Douglas writes, 'Kathleen was smart, funny, and sexy with a deep, sultry voice that became her signature. I instantly liked her, and we were immediately attracted to each other.
Douglas and Turner had been denying rumors of their relationship for 40 years. In the memoir, Douglas admits, 'That was a lie,' explaining that they had been 'falling hard for each other' during the production.

According to Douglas, both he and Turner were having extramarital affairs at the time, and Turner was aware that Douglas was still technically married to Diandra.

Douglas also revealed that neither the film's director Robert Zemeckis nor his co-star Danny DeVito were aware of the affair.
