Catholic Bishop Launches First Animated Show for Kids

The series, part of the Start with Sunday initiative by the diocese’s Institute for Catholic Formation, aims to introduce young children and their families to different topics of the Catholic faith.
Bishop Frank J. said, 'Our children are growing up in a world shaped by digital media, and we have an extraordinary opportunity to enter that world with them and introduce them more deeply to Jesus Christ and the beauty of our Catholic faith.
The show is supported by a $1.23 million grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. and is designed to be fun, colorful, and engaging.
Dr. Patrick Donovan, Executive Director of the Institute for Catholic Formation, said, 'Anything we can do to help parents raise faith-filled children is a win.
The Catholic American Bible, set to replace the New American Bible Revised Edition in 2027, is also part of efforts to engage younger generations.
Bishop Juan Miguel Betancourt of Hartford, Conn., emphasized the importance of consistency in the new translation, saying, 'One of the things that I love about this new Catholic American Bible is consistency, which the committee has worked to maintain.
