11:03 PM ETConfirmed

Entertainment Desk

In Short: Oscar-nominated actor Richard E. Grant made a significant blunder during the premiere of 'The Celebrity Traitors' by accidentally revealing his status as a traitor.

Grant's slip-up occurred during a bar exchange where he excitedly told several contestants, including Joe Lycett and Rob Beckett, that he was a traitor.

Grant later admitted that his outburst could have been the 'biggest mistake' of his life, as it left him in damage control mode for the rest of the episode.

Despite the initial confusion, Grant managed to commit one successful murder, demonstrating his ability to navigate the game despite his earlier mistake.

Meanwhile, Maya Jama, who was also selected as a traitor, remained more composed and helped Grant work out how to reduce suspicion.

Rajan, one of the contestants, was eliminated after the episode, noting that perhaps it was because he had been 'a bit bullish' with Grant earlier.

The show's second season, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, features a star-studded cast including James Blunt, Martin Sheen, Ross Kemp, Miranda Hart, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock.

Grant's blunder and the subsequent twists and turns of the episode have set a chaotic tone for the second season.

Grant's admission of his mistake highlights the high stakes and the importance of secrecy in the game.

The Celebrity Traitors, a spin-off of the British version of 'The Traitors,' continues to captivate audiences with its blend of reality and deception.
