Dior Beverly Hills to Showcase Louis Cane's Art Ahead of Auction
Developing
In Short: Dior Beverly Hills will host a two-week exhibition of works by French artist Louis Cane, featuring sculpture, furniture, and decorative pieces, ahead of an auction at Christie’s.

The exhibition, set to begin this fall, will highlight Cane’s works that incorporate materials such as bronze, marble, parchment, lacquer, and precious woods, showcasing his nearly six-decade-long collaboration with artisans.
Cane, who passed away in Paris in 2024 at the age of 80, was a key figure in late 20th-century French art, known for his work as a painter, sculptor, and furniture designer.
Dior describes Cane’s work as a world infused with 18th-century French art, nature, fauna, humor, and a deeply personal sense of wonder.
This exhibition follows a similar presentation in 2022, where Dior showcased more than 20 works by Claude and François-Xavier Lalanne at 30 Montaigne in Paris, ahead of an auction of their work.
The Cane exhibition will bring together sculpture, furniture, and decorative works, continuing Dior’s tradition of hosting art-focused exhibitions.
Dior Beverly Hills aims to highlight the range and depth of Cane’s artistic contributions, reflecting his evolution from deconstructing traditional canvas to expanding into sculpture and furniture design.
