WestEnd Films has boarded world sales for Woody Allen's upcoming contemporary comedy, set to begin filming in Madrid on October 5. The film will star Marton Csokas, Jemima Kirke, Jakob Oftebro, Peter Vives, and Alexi Wasser.
Allen, who has previously filmed in Spain for 'Vicky Cristina Barcelona' and 'Rifkin’s Festival,' expressed his enthusiasm for returning to Madrid, a city he has long admired.
The project marks the continuation of WestEnd's partnership with Gravier Productions, which has produced Allen's recent films including 'Coup de Chance.' WestEnd also represents a library of 25 Woody Allen titles, such as 'Midnight in Paris' and 'Blue Jasmine.
Madrid-based Wanda Vision and Allen’s production banner, Gravier Productions, are producing the film alongside Puerto Rico-headquartered 3SIX9 Studios.
Marton Csokas and Jemima Kirke, known for their roles in 'The Lord of the Rings,' 'The Equalizer,' 'Girls,' and 'Sex Education,' have joined the cast.
Maya Amsellem, managing director of WestEnd Films, expressed excitement about the film's international ensemble cast and anticipation for introducing it to buyers at the American Film Market.
