Healthcare Is Scary. Channel Your Fears Into a Haiku.
Developing
In Short: KFF Health News invites readers to turn healthcare fears into Halloween-themed haikus.

KFF Health News has announced the return of its annual Halloween haiku contest, encouraging readers to transform their healthcare anxieties into three-line poems.
The contest requires entries to follow the traditional haiku format, consisting of 17 syllables divided into a 5/7/5 pattern.
Participants are asked to include healthcare or health policy themes that fit the spooky Halloween spirit.
As an added challenge, KFF Health News suggests referencing one of their recent stories in the haiku.
A panel of judges from the newsroom will select the top three haikus, which will be featured on the organization's social media channels.
The grand-prize winner will have their haiku featured in the KFF Health News Morning Briefing on October 27, and all top three entries will receive custom comic illustrations by staff illustrator Oona Zenda.
