Space Station Crew Arrives in Florida for Upcoming Mission
Confirmed
In Short: The arrival of the crew in Florida is a significant milestone for the mission, setting the stage for their upcoming journey to the International Space Station.

The next quartet heading to the International Space Station arrived at the Kennedy Space Center on Saturday afternoon, marking the culmination of over a year of training.
Canadian Space Agency astronaut Joshua Kutryk and NASA astronaut Luke Delaney piloted a pair of T-38 jets from NASA’s Johnson Space Center and landed at the Launch and Landing Facility under clear skies.
For Delaney, the mission’s pilot and a Florida native, the arrival marked a homecoming. “Coming here in Kennedy, coming back to Florida, it’s definitely near and dear to my heart,” he said, recalling his childhood experiences watching Space Shuttle launches.
Commander Nicole Mann, who is making her second trip to space, echoed Delaney’s sentiments. “Arriving here today for us as a crew represents both the culmination and the beginning of a journey for us,” she said.
The crew’s arrival in Florida follows a delay announced by NASA in an Aug. 29 Commercial Crew Program blog post. The next steps include an engine test of the Falcon 9 rocket scheduled for Sunday and a launch day rehearsal with the crew planned for Tuesday.
The crew’s training and preparation have been extensive, involving teams of experts around the world. “We’re so grateful to the teams of experts around the world that have gotten us prepared and ready for this,” Mann added.

The Falcon 9 rocket is set to launch from Florida’s space coast, continuing the region’s legacy in space exploration.
While the crew prepares for their mission, Florida State University is also undergoing significant changes. The university is currently 1-1 in football and is on a mission to exit the ACC and join the SEC, the Big Ten, and/or Whatever Comes Next.
This step begins the next phase of restructuring that the University must commit to in order to compete in this era of college sports.
Former CIA Director John Brennan has been subpoenaed to testify next month before a Florida grand jury as part of a Justice Department investigation into whether former law enforcement and intelligence officials conspired against President Donald Trump.
