Mohd Shamoon, a BTech Computer Engineering student at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), has secured a pre-placement offer (PPO) from global payments company Visa with an annual compensation of Rs 35 lakh.

Shamoon received the offer after completing a summer internship at Visa. He is part of the 2027 batch at JMI.

The BTech Computer Engineering programme at JMI is an eight-semester course that covers areas such as programming, computer systems, software development, networking, data analysis, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

This achievement highlights the growing recognition of JMI's engineering programmes in the tech industry.

The PPO from Visa underscores the demand for skilled computer engineering graduates in the global market.
