Play to Reenact Gisèle Pelicot's Rape Trial in London
Developing
In Short: A four-hour performance titled 'The Pelicot Rape Trial' will be staged at London County Hall on November 30.

Swiss director and playwright Milo Rau created 'The Pelicot Rape Trial,' a play that recounts the harrowing story of Gisèle Pelicot's rape case.
Fifty men were found guilty of rape or sexual offenses after a lengthy trial that lasted three-and-a-half months.
Gisèle Pelicot's ex-husband, Dominique Pelicot, was sentenced to 20 years in prison for drugging and raping her, as well as allowing other men to rape her while she was unconscious over nearly a decade.
Milo Rau stated, 'It's about disentangling the story from the couple Gisèle and Dominique Pelicot – turning it into a story that belongs to all of us and at the same time to none of us.
The play will be performed at London County Hall by the Young Vic Theatre on November 30, offering a unique opportunity for audiences to engage with this complex and sensitive narrative.
