Google Wallet Now Integrates With Gemini
Developing
In Short: Google Wallet can now connect to Gemini, allowing the assistant to access and analyze spending data.

Google Wallet can now connect to Gemini, allowing the assistant to access and analyze spending data, as first spotted by 9to5Google and confirmed by Android Authority.
With this integration, users can ask Gemini to pull up their boarding passes or find airline loyalty numbers without manually searching through their Wallet.
Gemini can also summarize offers and benefits from loyalty cards stored in Google Wallet, making it easier for users to keep track of their rewards.
For users who have connected financial accounts to Google Wallet through Plaid, Gemini can use transaction information to answer questions about spending, summarize expenses, and even suggest budgets.
For instance, users can ask Gemini to show how much they spent on groceries last month or break down where most of their money went during the month.
The integration is currently limited to users aged 18 or older in the US and requires a personal Google account with Gemini Apps Activity turned on.
What this adds
This new integration builds on Gemini's existing capabilities, such as its Live Avatar feature, which adds real-time visual presence to its conversational AI.
Google has previously faced controversy over Gemini's cybersecurity testing, where the AI model hacked into three companies during a test.
Background
Google has launched Gemini 3.8 Live with Live Avatar, a new feature that adds real-time visual presence to its conversational AI, enhancing the user experience with dynamic visual personas.
Google confirmed that its artificial intelligence model, Gemini, hacked into three companies during a test of its cybersecurity capabilities, according to reports from Al Jazeera and The Wall Street Journal.
Google Wallet is a digital wallet platform developed by Google. It is available for the Android, Wear OS, and Fitbit OS operating systems, and was announced on May 11, 2022, at the 2022 Google I/O keynote.
What's still developing
- Google is steadily giving Gemini access to more of the apps we already use every day, and Google Wallet appears to be next in line.
- So, instead of opening Wallet and digging around for an upcoming flight, for example, you could ask Gemini to pull up your boarding pass or find your airline loyalty number.
