In a video posted to their Instagram accounts, Curry Barker and Cooper Tomlinson announced that their upcoming horror comedy, 'Anything But Ghosts,' will hit theaters on May 7, 2027.

Focus Features and Blumhouse Atomic Monster are set to release the film, which is the same team behind 'Obsession,' Barker's previous hit.

Barker, who directed and co-wrote the film with Tomlinson, said that 'Anything But Ghosts' takes place in the same universe as 'Obsession.

The production of 'Anything But Ghosts' was reportedly challenging, with Barker noting that the hardest day on 'Obsession' was the easiest day on 'Anything But Ghosts.

The film will face competition from Mel Gibson's 'The Resurrection of the Christ (Part One)' and the Patrick Schwarzenegger and Phoebe Dynevor movie 'Beach Read,' both opening on May 6 and May 7, respectively.

Barker's 'Obsession' opened to $17.1 million in May and saw a 39 percent increase in its second weekend, finishing with $263.4 million domestically and $519.4 million worldwide.

The cast of 'Anything But Ghosts' includes Tomlinson, Barker, Violet McGraw, Chris Reinacher, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Aaron Paul.

Barker and Tomlinson previously collaborated on the YouTube channel 'That’s a Bad Idea' before launching their film careers.

The film's success could potentially increase the buzz for 'Anything But Ghosts,' especially given the critical acclaim and commercial success of 'Obsession.
