Anjali gained recognition for her roles in television shows like 'Dhhai Kilo Prem' and 'Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala,' but her career faced a low point when she was repeatedly rejected.
She said her mother was initially skeptical when she announced she was meeting Karan Johar, the renowned filmmaker. 'My mother told me, 'Badi aayi Karan Johar se milne jaa rahi hai,' thinking it was just a casual meeting. I corrected her, 'Mummy, I am actually going to meet him,' Anjali recalled.
Anjali's mother had a different opinion about her role in 'Dhamaal 4,' where she played a lead role. 'My mother called Dhamaal a one-time watch. She thought I was just average,' Anjali said.
Born to actor parents, Anjali, despite being a trained actor and dancer, struggled to find work. After exhausting her savings, she decided to quit acting and move abroad.
Anjali's mother would often express doubt about her daughter's auditions, but Anjali's persistence paid off with her breakthrough roles.
