Island, a US-Israeli cybersecurity startup, announced on Thursday that it has raised $400 million, pushing its valuation to $6.4 billion. The funds will be used to hire more engineers for its Tel Aviv research and development center and to expand its browser platform to help businesses manage security threats as AI agents become more integrated into the workplace.

The company’s CEO, Fey, said, 'We’ve entered a new era in which people and AI agents work side by side.' Island’s browser, designed to be more secure than commercial browsers like Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, is built by its R&D team in Israel.

Island’s Enterprise Browser is designed to protect the primary place where people work, and the new investment will give the company more capacity to innovate with its customers and help them safely scale AI.

Island has expanded its focus to help enterprises onboard, govern, and audit AI tools across both human and agentic workforces. Fey added, 'Just like humans, agents need the right context, access, guardrails, and accountability to succeed.
