Two people are in critical condition, and the victims suffered stab wounds, likely inflicted with a kitchen knife, according to prosecutor Małgorzata Taciuch-Kurasiewicz from the District Prosecutor’s Office in Przemyśl.
The motive behind the attack remains unclear. The injured were transported to local hospitals, with one man undergoing surgery.
The incident occurred as Russian strikes targeted parts of Ukraine near the Polish border, leading to temporary closures of airports in Lublin and Rzeszow.
Polish authorities are investigating the attack, and the suspect is being detained at the Jarosław police station.
