Russian drones were reported over several western and central Ukrainian regions on Thursday, including Volyn, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, and Vinnytsia. In the Rivne Oblast, a Russian attack damaged infrastructure, regional governor Oleksandr Koval said.
In Khmelnytskyi, a Russian drone hit a residential apartment building, according to Ukrainian authorities. Poland’s Government Security Centre issued alerts to residents of the Podkarpackie and Lublin regions over the Russian attacks on Ukraine.
The evacuation occurred as Russia continued a major aerial assault on Ukraine after a ballistic missile attack on Kyiv overnight.
