Lionsgate Unveils First 'Day Drinker' Trailer

The film's production began in Spain in 2025, and it reunites Johnny Depp and Penélope Cruz with 'Outer Banks' star Madelyn Cline. It is directed by Marc Webb from a script by Zach Dean.

Deadline describes 'Day Drinker' as a supernatural revenge thriller, marking one of Depp's first starring roles in a studio project since his 2022 defamation trial. The film is also the fourth time Depp and Cruz have worked together.

The production of 'Day Drinker' predates Depp's role in 'Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol' by about a year, with Depp first being cast in the role in October 2024.
