Eriksen Agrees to End Wolfsburg Contract

The former Manchester United and Tottenham player had joined Wolfsburg as a free agent before the 2025-26 season, which ended with the team's relegation from the Bundesliga. Eriksen's contract was originally set to run until the end of June 2027.
Eriksen's collapse in June brought back memories of his cardiac arrest during the 2021 European Championship. Players formed a protective circle around him as he received medical attention, with an implantable cardioverter defibrillator fitted to support his heart.
Since the June incident, Eriksen has not played, and he previously stated that he was 'doing well' and that the device had performed its intended function.
