ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Mariota will lead the offense while the team gathers more information on Daniels' condition.
Daniels was injured during the Commanders' game against the Dallas Cowboys, dislocating his left elbow during the second quarter.
Mariota took over at halftime and performed well, completing 11 of 16 passes for 111 yards and a touchdown.
The Commanders are using Mariota's performance as a starting point while they determine the timeline for Daniels' return.
The Seahawks present a tough challenge, and the Commanders will need Mariota to lead the offense effectively until Daniels is ready to return.
