Marvel has announced that the upcoming third season of 'Daredevil: Born Again' will be its last, concluding the series after eight years since its original cancellation.
The series, which began as a continuation of the Netflix 'Daredevil' series, saw Wilson Fisk ascend to the mayorship of New York City.
Netflix had initially tried to revive the series in 2018, but it eventually made its way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and was given another three seasons.
Season 1 of 'Daredevil: Born Again' followed Fisk's rise from gangster to NYC autocrat mayor, while Season 2 saw the return of Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones character.
The series had a strong start, with its first season racking up the best series premiere on Disney+ for 2025, attracting 7.5 million viewers worldwide in its first five days.
However, US viewership dropped about 50% in Season 2, according to Luminate data.
Sources told Deadline that calls were made this morning to the cast to inform them that this will be the final season.
Showrunner Dario Scardapane, who came aboard the show during the season 1 creative overhaul, has parted ways with Marvel Studios.
Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio reprise their roles as Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, alongside Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page.
Season 2 ended with Daredevil and Karen proving Kingpin used his position as mayor to continue his criminal pursuits, leading to Fisk's exile.
Marvel has not announced any other live-action shows beyond the final season of 'Daredevil: Born Again', although the studio reportedly continues to keep between three and five projects in development.

The news comes after Marvel 'quietly' split from Daredevil showrunner Dario Scardapane, whose contract expired and was not renewed during season three's post-production.
