Palestine’s official WAFA News Agency reported that Israeli forces raided H-Clinic Specialized Hospital in Ramallah and detained an injured Palestinian receiving treatment there. The Israeli military had earlier pursued the attacker, according to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The reported killing comes amid sustained Israeli military operations and settler violence across the West Bank following Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023, attack on southern Israel. As of late August, 79 Palestinians, including 19 children, had been killed in the West Bank by Israeli forces or settlers since the beginning of 2026, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
The ongoing tensions in the region have led to increased military and settler activities in the West Bank, contributing to a volatile environment.
