Chinese automaker Xiaomi Auto has unveiled its SkyNomad N70 SUV, priced at $31,000, aiming to compete in the luxury SUV market in Europe starting in 2027.

The SkyNomad N70 is a five-seat, extended-range electric vehicle (EV) that Xiaomi Auto claims offers superior technology compared to a Range Rover at half the price.

Xiaomi Auto, which only began producing its first EV in 2024, is part of a broader strategy by Chinese carmakers to capture the Western market's love for chunky SUVs.

Other Chinese brands such as XPeng and BYD are also adopting similar tactics in Europe, but Xiaomi Auto's SkyNomad N70 is expected to make a particularly strong impact due to its competitive pricing and advanced technology.
