Gandhi addressed a packed audience of young students, asking them what they felt was working against them in the 'system.' He described the system as a capture of the country by a few individuals at the top, with Modi at the helm and Shah as the enforcer.
Gandhi alleged that Shah's son controls the cricket administration, and that scholarships have been reduced for 1.5 crore students over the last decade. He argued that students, who ask questions, pose a challenge to this structure.
Gandhi's event, titled 'Chhatron Ki Goonj,' was the fifth in a series of student outreach programs. It was originally scheduled for September 12 but was moved due to a Madhya Pradesh High Court order restricting stadium use.
Gandhi also alleged that money from contracts involving schools and universities is allegedly channeled to the BJP for Modi's marketing and to run the system.
He emphasized that students can eliminate the violence and hatred being spread in the country, while 'bhakts' or blind followers cannot.

- “This system is the capture of the country by the system. There are different layers within this system. At the top level, six people are sitting there,” he said.
- Referring to India’s cricketing greats, he said: “There are so many cricketers in India — Sachin Tendulkar, Kapil Dev and so many others. But, according to Gandhi, ‘the system has handed over the entire cricket administration to Amit Shah’s son.’” Gandhi argued that students posed a challenge to this structure because they ask questions, and said the system wanted andh bhakts (blind followers).
- “The second impact is on scholarships. In the last 10 years, scholarships have been taken away from 1.5 crore students. The government and other governments are providing 1.5 crore fewer scholarships,” he said.
- The fifth edition of Gandhi’s student outreach programme, previously held in Kota, Dehradun, Prayagraj and Pune, was centred on the theme “system versus students”.
