7-Eleven encouraging you to 'get creative' for 'Bring Your Own Cup' Day

In Short: 7-Eleven is inviting customers to participate in its annual 'Bring Your Own Cup Day,' where patrons can bring any watertight, leak-proof, and upright container to fill with a Slurpee drink.
According to the company, the event challenges the definition of what a cup can be, and customers are encouraged to get creative with their choices.
In addition to the cup day, 7-Eleven is also reintroducing the bold Mountain Dew Slurpee for a limited time.
Brandon Brown, a senior vice president at 7-Eleven Inc., said in a statement, 'Every year, Bring Your Own Cup Day challenges the definition of what a cup can truly be, and our customers never cease to amaze us.
What's still developing
- The chain's popular "Bring Your Own Cup Day" is back, allowing customers to get their Slurpee on in whatever vessel they deem appropriate – and according to 7-Eleven, the wackier the better.
- Because the promotional offer is only available at participating locations nationwide, be sure to call ahead to be sure your neighborhood store is taking part in the fan-favorite tradition.
- While creativity is encouraged, 7-Eleven does have some ground rules about the kind of "cup" you can bring in. According to 7-Eleven, containers must be clean, watertight, leak-proof and able to stand upright within the 10-inch cutout in stores to ensure they fit under the Slurpee drink dispenser. "Whether it's a trophy, teapot or cookie jar, if it fits, it's fair game," the Irving, Texas-based corporation said. The one-day only offer has a limit of one cup person and will only be available "while supplies last."
