England will face world champions Spain, Croatia, and the Czech Republic in the first international window of the season. The team's third-place finish at the World Cup marked their best performance since winning the tournament in 1966.
Tuchel acknowledged the criticism he faced following England's semifinal loss to Argentina at the World Cup. Despite the controversy, he emphasized that the door remains open for players who perform well at the club level.
Alexander-Arnold, 27, has 34 caps for England and last played as a substitute in a 1-0 win over Andorra in June 2025. Palmer, 24, last featured in a 1-0 friendly defeat by Japan in March. Tuchel confirmed that Alexander-Arnold will play as a right-back for England, despite his recent midfield appearances for Real Madrid.
