The Traitors Announces Season 5 Cast
Confirmed
In Short: Peacock's reality competition show The Traitors has revealed its all-star lineup for the upcoming fifth season, featuring Broadway stars, Olympians, and reality TV icons.
The cast includes Kristin Chenoweth, Whitney Leavitt, Bianca Del Rio, Chloe Kim, and Cody Simpson.
Based on the Dutch format De Verraders, The Traitors splits contestants into two groups: the Faithful and the Traitors.
At the beginning of the season, host Alan Cumming selects the Traitors, who must remain undercover while trying to eliminate the Faithful.
The Faithful attempt to uncover the Traitors in a roundtable, where they vote one another out and banish them from the game.
If Traitors remain hidden until the end, they split the $250,000 prize; otherwise, the Faithful divide the money.
The Traitors has secured three additional seasons, taking the Peacock series through Season 8.
The show's latest season delivered its biggest audience to date, with viewership up 72% compared to the previous season.
The Traitors: New Blood, an all-civilian spinoff, debuted on NBC on September 17.
The new celebrity season is set to premiere on Peacock in 2027.
The cast also includes reality TV stars like Dominic Monaghan, Michele Fitzgerald, and JaNa Craig.
The show's blend of deception, strategy, and chaos has made it a reliable hit for Peacock.
The Traitors has won seven Emmy awards, further cementing its status as a breakout reality competition series.
What this adds
The Traitors has built a devoted following since its premiere in 2023, with each new season featuring a fresh mix of celebrities and reality TV veterans.
The show's success has led to the launch of The Traitors: New Blood, an all-civilian spinoff that debuted on NBC.
The upcoming season's cast includes a mix of Broadway stars, Olympians, and reality TV icons, suggesting Peacock is aiming to deliver the same unpredictable chemistry that has made the show popular.
