Dermot O'Leary, a mainstay on British television and radio for over two decades, recently reflected on his career and personal life in an interview with The i Paper. O'Leary, known for hosting The X Factor and presenting ITV’s This Morning, shared insights into his journey and the sacrifices that come with success.
O'Leary, who is also an author with nine children's books to his name, recently hosted a travel show called 'Taste of Ireland.' He spoke about how fatherhood has changed his perspective on work and life balance.
The broadcaster, who lives in north London with his wife Dee, their six-year-old son Kasper, and two cats, Toto and Socks, emphasized the importance of finding gratitude in a challenging world. "The world feels like a difficult place at the moment, and it can feel very hard sometimes to find things to be thankful for; when we are overwhelmed, we have less capacity to notice and reflect on the good things," he noted.
O'Leary's reflections highlight the personal and professional growth he has experienced, as well as his ongoing commitment to balancing his demanding career with family life.

- With all this under his belt, it is not that surprising when O’Leary admits his working life has “not always been healthy”.
- “That’s the thing: you think it’s healthy when it’s not,” he says.
