In Short: Carly Rae Jepsen's new music video for 'Versailles' imagines a party at the French chateau.

Carly Rae Jepsen's new single 'Versailles' is featured in a music video that envisions a party at the famous French chateau, as she sings about wanting to party there at night.

The video, directed by Kanya Iwana and filmed in Los Angeles, shows Jepsen dancing at a modern-day party while imagining herself at the historic Versailles.

Jepsen wrote the track with Elias Kapari, Noonie Bao, and Markus Krunegård, with production by Kapari.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Jepsen said, 'I wanna party in Versailles/ I wanna see it in the nighttime,' crooning over the beat.

The inspiration for the song came from Sofia Coppola's film Marie Antoinette, and Jepsen began teasing a new album in June.

Jepsen will perform a special sunset set at New York City’s All Things Go Festival, marking her first live performance of the year.
