Waymo Expands to Singapore in 2028

Waymo's vehicles will begin arriving in Singapore in the coming months, with plans to start mapping and autonomous testing with human safety drivers in 2027.

The company aims to offer fully autonomous ride-hailing services to the public by 2028, pending approval from Singapore's Land Transport Authority.

Waymo co-CEO Tekedra Mawakana said, 'Singapore has built one of the safest, most efficient, and most forward-thinking transportation ecosystems in the world.

In addition to Singapore, Waymo plans to launch robotaxi services in London by the end of 2026, Tokyo in 2027, and Munich in late 2027.

This year, Waymo has also announced several new domestic markets, including Nashville, Denver, San Diego, and Las Vegas.
