A Russian missile and drone attack on Ukraine's capital and surrounding areas injured at least 18 people, including children, according to authorities. The attack targeted more than 10 locations in Kyiv, damaging 33 sites in the wider region, with 20 people injured in Kyiv and seven in Odesa, including young children among the casualties.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy welcomed the US House of Representatives' passage of a Russia sanctions bill, calling it a powerful tool to pressure Moscow toward peace after another overnight Russian attack damaged civilian and energy infrastructure across Ukraine.
In Kyiv, explosions rocked the city center and targeted residential buildings, office buildings, and a warehouse, with 16 people injured, including two children, and at least nine requiring hospitalization. In Odesa, seven people were injured, including two children. The attacks also targeted civilian areas and infrastructure in the Kyiv region.
Ukraine's air force reported destroying or suppressing 131 Russian aerial targets during the attack. Meanwhile, Russian forces damaged civilian infrastructure in eight regions, including energy facilities in Sumy and Odesa, and residential buildings in Kyiv and Odesa, according to Zelenskyy.

- In a Telegram post following the vote, Zelensky wrote that the legislation passed on the same night as another major Russian attack involving ballistic missiles, other missiles and drones.
