Knicks Sign James Wiseman, Bruce Brown and Others Ahead of Training Camp

The New York Knicks officially announced the signing of former No. 2 NBA Draft pick James Wiseman to an Exhibit 9 contract, along with veteran swingman Bruce Brown and shooting guard Ochai Agbaji.
In addition to Wiseman, the Knicks also signed Drew Eubanks and John Konchar, bringing in a total of five players on Exhibit 9 contracts.
According to reports, the Knicks currently have two open roster spots and are approximately $3.2 million below the second apron, but ESPN's Bobby Marks noted that they can only keep one of these players unless they make a trade.
Brown, who won the NBA championship with the Denver Nuggets in 2023, could have the leg up on the competition for a roster spot, given his championship experience and consistent play.
The Knicks have retained much of the roster that won last season’s championship, including key players like Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, Mikal Bridges, OG Anunoby, and Josh Hart, while adding depth with these new signings.
