Confirmed

Technology Desk

In Short: Apple's iPhone 18 Pro models, featuring a revamped Siri AI and other new features, began shipping Friday, September 18.

Apple unveiled the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max last week, with pre-orders starting on September 12. These devices, while resembling the iPhone 17 Pro models, introduce several new features and incremental changes.

Among the notable updates is the new Siri AI, which requires an iPhone 15 Pro or newer. Siri AI is more intelligent and personalized, drawing on personal information stored on the iPhone and performing actions in more apps that support it.

In addition to Siri AI, the iPhone 18 Pro models will also support iOS 27, which includes a major revamp of Siri and other new features. Users can expect to receive the iOS 27 update via the Settings app under General → Software Update starting Friday, September 18.

Apple also announced the Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4, which will be unveiled tomorrow. These new models are expected to include a powerful new chip and other enhancements.

The iPhone 18 Pro models will be the first to ship, with the standard iPhone 18 models expected to launch in the first quarter of next year. This marks a change in Apple's release strategy, with flagship models launching in September and standard models delayed until early next year.
