In Short: Hotels are catering to guests using GLP-1 weight-loss drugs by offering high-protein meals and mini-martinis to manage alcohol sensitivity.

Heather Adams, founder and CEO of a Nashville-based marketing firm, began taking a GLP-1 drug in January, joining many others who are learning to eat until full rather than finishing their plates.

According to Adams, 'Many of us were raised with messages like “finish your plate” and “get your money’s worth.” One of the skills many people are learning on GLP-1s is how to stop eating when their body is done, even when the plate isn’t.

To address the dietary needs of GLP-1 users, hotels are promoting high-protein, fiber-rich meals to help mitigate muscle loss and side effects associated with these drugs.

Recognizing that GLP-1 users may be more sensitive to alcohol, some hotels have introduced mini-martinis to cater to their guests' needs.

Garner hotels, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, are positioning themselves as value-conscious options with a relaxed, flexible experience, appealing to a broader range of travelers.

These changes come as Google is required to show results from competitors before its own services in searches for flights and hotels, potentially altering how users find hotel accommodations.
