‘Far Cry’ FX Series Casts Brendan Gleeson, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Hamish Linklater, Sam Spruell, Jamie Demetriou

In Short: FX's 'Far Cry' series has added Brendan Gleeson, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Hamish Linklater, Sam Spruell, and Jamie Demetriou to its cast, joining previously announced actors Rob Mac, Lizzy Caplan, and Steve Buscemi.

The series, based on Ubisoft's popular video game franchise, is executive produced by Noah Hawley, known for creating 'Fargo' and 'Alien: Earth,' and Rob Mac, creator of 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Gleeson, who recently starred in 'Spider-Noir' and 'The Good Daughter,' is represented by CAA and Principal Entertainment. Leigh, an Oscar nominee for 'The Hateful Eight,' is represented by CAA and Untitled Entertainment.

Hamish Linklater, who earned a guest acting Emmy nomination for 'Widow's Bay,' is repped by Untitled Entertainment, Gersh, and Johnson Shapiro Slewett & Kole. Sam Spruell and Jamie Demetriou are also part of the ensemble, with Spruell represented by Lou Coulson Associates and Luber Roklin Entertainment, and Demetriou by United Agents, CAA, and Multitude Media.

The 'Far Cry' series will follow an anthology format, featuring a new cast and setting each season, similar to the video game franchise. The series is slated to debut on FX, with exact plot and character details yet to be revealed.

Jamie Demetriou is an English comedian, actor and screenwriter. He is known for his role as Bus Rodent in Fleabag and for creating, co-writing, and starring in Stath Lets Flats.
