Apple has introduced several new features in iOS 27, including a powerful new Siri mode that allows users to capture and take action on anything their iPhone sees. Additionally, users can start with an existing image and describe how they want Apple Intelligence to change it, providing more control over how their iPhone looks and works. The new iOS 27 also makes the controls in each Camera app mode fully customizable, allowing users to tailor their experience to their preferences.
According to reports, Apple's newly unveiled foldable iPhone Duo has sparked significant consumer interest despite its hefty $1,999 starting price tag. The iPhone Duo is the first foldable iPhone and features an under-display camera, among other exclusive perks. However, it lacks some features present on the iPhone 18 Pro models, such as a telephoto lens, and is expected to see a price increase of $200 to $300.
Apple has also made iOS faster across compatible iPhones, and the iPhone 17 Pro starts at $1,099 with all of the above features. The iPhone 18 Pro models are moving in the opposite direction, apparently relocating Face ID's flood illuminator beneath the screen to shrink the Dynamic Island. The iPhone Air, on the other hand, lacks Ultra Wide and Telephoto rear cameras, a SIM card slot, and stereo speakers.
During Apple's 'Surprise & Shine' event, it introduced the new generation of the iPhone 18 Pro, Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4, AirPods 5, and the all-new iPhone Duo, its first iteration of a foldable phone. The iPhone Duo features an IP68 rating, making it resistant to water and dust, and it was praised for its stylish fold design.
