Launching October 14, the doc follows the pursuit of journalists alongside the survivors who speak out, charting Glitter’s 1997 conviction, through to his years on the run, and eventual incarceration.
This string of dogged journalists chase the fugitive pop star across the globe — from Cuba to Cambodia to Vietnam — determined to expose the child sexual abuse he concealed behind decades of chart-topping fame.
Netflix has previously shone a light on serial sex abuser Jimmy Savile via its Jimmy Savile: A British Horror Story doc.
“People always look for a reason, because someone’s death is a great mystery,” the synthetic Herzog intones in the moody trailer.

In a year rife with regency drama for loyal fans — the world premiere of Focus Features’ Sense and Sensibility took place just last night, where THR caught up with stars Daisy Edgar-Jones and George MacKay — the series will “join the yearn-aissance in the autumn to faithfully bring Jane Austen’s iconic story back to life for audiences that cherish it, whilst inspiring a new generation to fall in love with it for the first time,” said Netflix.
