Mirzapur: The Movie, directed by Gurmeet Singh and starring Ali Fazal, is nearing the Rs 200 crore mark in India, with a gross of Rs 233.14 crore and a net of Rs 195.70 crore. The film, which opened with a strong Rs 25.75 crore on September 4, has been holding its ground against competition from Priyadarshan’s crime thriller Haiwaan, which earned Rs 3 crore on its opening day.

The decline in Mirzapur: The Movie's earnings from its first Thursday to its second Tuesday is attributed to the release of Haiwaan, which saw a 4000-show reduction in screenings. Despite this, the film has managed to maintain its strong word of mouth and the support of its franchise's fandom, leading to a steady performance.

On its second Tuesday (day 12), Mirzapur: The Movie earned Rs 5.50 crore, the same as its second Monday (day 11), despite a slight decrease in the number of screens from 7014 to 6950. This performance is a testament to the film's strong word of mouth and the cinematic experience it offers.

Prior to this, the film collected Rs 12.55 crore on its first Wednesday (day 6), Rs 15.60 crore on its first Tuesday (day 5), and Rs 16 crore on its first Monday (day 4). However, it saw a significant drop from its first Sunday (day 3) earnings of Rs 36 crore, the highest single-day collection yet.

The film is also performing well in the overseas market, collecting Rs 1 crore gross on Day 11, pushing the overseas gross total near Rs 50 crore. Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under their production banner, Excel Entertainment, the film also stars Harshita Gaur, Rasika Dugal, Sonal Chauhan, and others.
