House lawmakers are launching a new caucus focused on the economic and cultural impact of movies, music, entertainment, and sports, according to reports. The caucus, called the Movies, Music, Entertainment & Sports (MoMEntS) Caucus, is being launched by Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove (D-CA), Rep. María Elvira Salazar (R-FL), and Troy Carter (D-LA).

The MoMEntS Caucus will have a broader focus than traditional TV and film, and will also include broadcasting, music, sports, fashion, gaming, streaming, content creators, and visual and performing arts, organizers said. The caucus aims to address the diverse range of industries within the entertainment sector.
