The Onyx Boox Palma 3 was officially unveiled on September 15, 2026, marking a significant update to the Palma lineup. The device, priced at $339.99 USD, introduces a premium material redesign, stepping away from plastic for a durable anodized aluminum frame and a textured fiberglass backplate.
Key hardware highlights include active stylus support, allowing users to pair the device with the BOOX InkSense Plus stylus for a highly portable digital notepad. The Palma 3 also features a robust 3,950 mAh battery and proprietary BOOX Super Refresh (BSR) technology, which significantly reduces ghosting and ensures smooth screen transitions.
The Palma 3 retains the monochrome display and pocketable design of its predecessors while adding a redesigned enclosure and optional stylus support. It also includes a 16-megapixel rear camera and a fingerprint reader built into the power button, along with Android 16 for a more current version of Google's mobile operating system.
The device is not yet available, with an estimated release date to be determined. The Palma 3 joins the Boox lineup alongside the Note Air6 C and Note Mini C, with the Palma 3 priced at $339.99, a $60 increase from the Palma 2, which launched in 2024 for $279.99.
