Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski, who have been married for nearly a decade, have announced their separation in a joint statement. The couple, who have worked together on stage and screen, said it was the best decision for their family.

Seyfried, an Academy Award nominee, and Sadoski, who starred in the hit show "Life In Pieces," have been separated for some time. According to their statement, they believe this move is "the right move for us and our family unit." Both actors have expressed their commitment to each other, with Seyfried noting that Sadoski "sacrifices a lot" for her, and Sadoski acknowledging the opportunities Seyfried is currently being afforded.

Their relationship has been marked by their professional collaboration, including their first meeting on the Off-Broadway play "The Way We Get By" in 2015. They later reunited on the set of the movie "The Last Word," began dating in 2016, and secretly eloped in March 2017, just days before welcoming their first child, daughter Nina. They expanded their family with the birth of their son, Thomas Jr., in September 2020.

Despite their separation, the couple has maintained a level of privacy, keeping their personal lives out of the public eye. Seyfried and Sadoski have not publicly discussed the reasons behind their decision, but their statement emphasizes the positive impact this move has had on their family unit.
