The book, published by Image Books, an imprint of Penguin Random House, is a compilation of homilies, addresses, and writings from the future pope's time as Prior General of the Order of Saint Augustine, spanning from 2001 to 2013.
While the initial idea for the book was approved by Pope Leo himself, it was compiled by members of his religious order. The texts, written in English, Spanish, and German, provide insight into his background and the themes that may be traced in his papacy.
During a press conference, Cardinal Michael Czerny, who will receive the Pope Leo XIV Sustainability Medal, highlighted the pope's emphasis on responsibility in achieving sustainability, a theme that resonates with the content of the book.
The book's publication coincides with the announcement of Cardinal Czerny as the first recipient of the Pope Leo XIV Sustainability Medal, recognizing his work towards ecological sustainability.
