, Italian screenwriter Maddalena Ravagli, who penned 'Gomorrah,' is directing her first feature 'The Place of Eternal Summer,' a Sicily-set story about friendship between two boys.

Ravagli, a screenwriter for 'Gomorrah' and 'ZeroZeroZero,' is making her directorial debut with 'The Place of Eternal Summer,' a Sicily-set story about the friendship between two boys, Leo and Turi, across three summers.

In her directorial statement, Ravagli said, 'As a screenwriter, I have always tried to give voice to the different worlds that inhabit our country, especially the ones that are too often unseen and unheard, and simply pushed to the margins.
