Samsung Unveils New One UI 9 Beta for Galaxy S24 Series

Less than two weeks after the first One UI 9 beta for the Galaxy S24 series, Samsung has released a second beta, bringing features from the Galaxy Z8 foldables and the Galaxy S26 flagships to the lineup.
Tarun Vats spotted the One UI 9 Beta 2 for the Galaxy S24 series, which now supports custom Now Brief cards. These cards can be created by telling the AI what information you want to be displayed on the card.
Samsung is also allowing Galaxy S24 owners to try out the My FanCam feature, which was introduced by the Galaxy Z8 foldables. However, users are advised that betas are not recommended for use on their daily driver phones.
The release of One UI 9 Beta 5 for the Galaxy S26-series testers in India on August 12 marks a significant step in Samsung's testing program. The update arrived with firmware ending in ZZH6, but a detailed country-by-country rollout schedule has not been published by Samsung.
While the fifth beta follows an unusually long break in the S26 testing cycle, the program officially covers Germany, India, South Korea, Poland, the U.K., and the U.S., although individual beta builds can reach these markets at different times. Samsung has not announced a public release date for stable One UI 9 on the Galaxy S26, S26+, or S26 Ultra, nor has it confirmed whether Beta 5 will be the final test build.
