Caroline Dubois has ramped up her calls for a fight with Alycia Baumgardner, after trading words with the American star during a recent ringside argument.
In an exclusive interview with The Independent, Dubois stated, 'I knew she was coming obviously to fight week to announce her fight, so I expected we were going to trade words at some point, and we were going to see each other.
The 25-year-old fighter also expressed a preference for a fight with Baumgardner to take place in the UK, rather than on the American's turf.
Dubois, who outpointed Amelia Moore to stay unbeaten and retain her WBC and WBO lightweight titles in August, is keen on a unification fight with the 32-year-old Baumgardner, should the American win her upcoming bout against Elif Nur Turhan for the IBF lightweight belt.
The Independent reports that Dubois is eager for a fight that would unify the lightweight division, given Baumgardner's status as a former undisputed super-featherweight champion.
