Poland Warns of 'Real' Threat After Russian Drone Strikes Near Border

In Odesa, at least nine people were injured in a Russian night-time attack, according to Serhiy Lysak, head of the city’s military administration. Meanwhile, two people were killed in a series of drone strikes targeting fuel trucks near the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, according to Russia’s Rosatom nuclear corporation.
Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed willingness to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin at the G20 summit in Miami, US, in December for talks. Russia suggested three-way negotiations between Ukraine, Russia, and the United States could take place in October.
Both sides continue to attack each other with waves of drones, resulting in civilian casualties and injuries. Ukraine is dependent on trade and arms shipments from across the Polish, Romanian, and Moldovan borders, with Odesa being the main port hub on the Black Sea facing sustained drone and missile strikes.
