Yū-hachi's new TV anime 'Yūsanchi!' will debut on October 5, with the main cast and key visual revealed, according to Anime News Network. The anime, which centers on the titular character, a 40cm tall creature named Dekai Hachi, will also stream online on FOD, TVer, and Fuji TV's anime YouTube channel after each episode airs.
Rarecho, known for directing and scripting segments in Aggretsuko, will handle the Miseban no Spis and Ah, Tanuki wa Mō Dame Desu segments, while Gaku Kinoshita, who worked on Sumikko Gurashi: Koko ga Ochitsukun Desu, will direct and script the Dekai Hachi segments.
Yū-hachi, who draws both the Dekai Hachi and Miseban no Spis manga on pixiv, also draws Ah, Tanuki wa Mō Dame Desu on their X/Twitter account and Kadokawa's KadoComi website.
Meanwhile, Josh Hartnett, known for his roles in Below and Oppenheimer, revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that he was actively not looking for television roles before reading the script for the Netflix thriller miniseries Widow’s Bay. Hartnett explained, 'I saw Widow’s Bay and I really liked it, but there’s a totally different tone in this show.
