Phil Parkinson was appointed Wrexham manager in July 2021 when the club was in the National League.

It was Wrexham's heaviest league defeat in 22 years, since losing by the same margin at Bournemouth in 2004.

The 6-goal margin surpassed the previous 5-0 loss to Stockport County in September 2023, marking a new low for the ambitious Welsh side.
