Aryna Sabalenka, aiming to become the first woman to win three consecutive US Open singles titles since Serena Williams, is set to face Elena Rybakina in the final. Sabalenka, who has beaten Rybakina in Indian Wells and Miami this year, is now in a position to end the season on a high.

The final grand slam of the 2026 tennis season is nearing its conclusion in Flushing, New York, where the winners of the men's and women's singles competitions will each receive a record $5.5 million. Last year's winners, Sabalenka and Carlos Alcaraz, took home $5 million, but this year's champions will earn more than a trophy.

The purse for the 2026 US Open is $18 million larger than the 2025 payout, breaking another record in tennis history. Every player that makes it into the 128-player singles draw will earn a minimum of $140,000, which is also a record for a tennis event.

In the doubles competitions, the winning teams in the men's, women's, and mixed doubles will each split $1 million prizes as a team, with the runners-up earning $500,000. The most notable payouts are for the singles champions, who will each receive a record $5.5 million.
