The series, created by April Blair and based on Jodi Thomas's romance novels, follows the intersecting lives of three ranching families in the rugged Texas Hill Country. Duhamel played the ranch owner Staten Kirkland, while Kelly portrayed his love interest, Quinn O’Grady, a concert pianist and lavender farmer.
Less than two months after the premiere of Season 2 on July 23, Netflix made the decision to cancel the show. Kelly's reaction came one day after Deadline reported the news, confirming that the streamer would not move forward with a third season.
