Explora Journeys Launches Largest Cruise Ship with Luxury Hotel Experience
Developing
In Short: Cruise editor Marc Shoffman explores the new luxury cruise experience offered by Explora Journeys' largest ship, Explora III.

Explora Journeys, a luxury cruise line owned by MSC, has launched its largest cruise ship, Explora III, bringing a hotel-like experience to the sea. The ship, which is the third in the fleet, offers a range of amenities designed to provide a luxurious vacation experience.
According to Cruise editor Marc Shoffman, Explora Journeys is different from traditional cruise lines as it does not use the word 'cruise' in its marketing. Instead, it emphasizes the hotel-like experience it offers, with features such as a new wine bar called The Cellar, where guests can explore vintages inspired by the ship's location.
Explora III, launched this summer, is the largest of the three ships in the fleet, with an increased length of 63 feet compared to its sister ships. The ship offers larger open-air decks and three heated outdoor pools, along with five indoor and outdoor heated whirlpools.
One of the unique features of Explora III is a pool surrounded by soft sunbeds under a retractable roof. This pool will be particularly useful for the unpredictable rainy days the ship may encounter when sailing around the Mediterranean or facing tropical storms in the Caribbean.
Prices for a seven-night Caribbean cruise from Miami to Puerto Rico, departing on December 6, start from £3,110 per person. As Shoffman toured the ship, he noted the attention to detail and the overall luxurious feel, making it clear why Explora Journeys is gaining popularity among discerning travelers.
Explora Journeys is sailing around Canada and the US this autumn before heading to the Caribbean in the winter, offering a variety of itineraries to suit different preferences and seasons.
