Amazon Prepares for Drone Delivery Expansion in UK

In Short: Amazon is on the precipice of expanding its drone delivery service across Darlington, UK, as it seeks approval to cover the entire town.

The US tech giant launched a "limited" series of flights in February, enabling customers within a 7.5-mile radius of its County Durham site to have certain items delivered by drone. Following more than 500 flights and deliveries, the firm stated it is now seeking permission from the Civil Aviation Authority to cover the entire town.
